Summerland has a humid, continental climate with hot, dry summers and cool winters.

Late fall and most of the winter see very little sunshine on the west side of the valley, but Summerland gets more days of sunshine during the spring than any other place in Canada. The sun shines on our vineyard an average of 88 days each spring.

Because Summerland is located on one of the Okanagan’s famous benches, it stays relatively warm at night and a constant breeze helps to naturally maintain the vineyard disease free.
